Description

The Annabelle Smooth Hydrangea (Hydrangea arborescens 'Annabelle') is a beloved choice for gardeners seeking a low-maintenance plant with high visual impact. Known for its stunning, large white flower heads that can reach up to 12 inches across, Annabelle brings a touch of elegance to any garden setting. This deciduous shrub grows to a manageable size of 3 to 5 feet in both height and width, making it perfect for borders, hedges, or as a standalone specimen. Caring for your Annabelle Hydrangea is straightforward. Plant it in a location with well-drained soil and provide it with partial to full sun exposure. Regular watering is essential, particularly during dry periods, and mulching around the base can help maintain soil moisture and temperature. Annabelle is not only cherished for its beauty but also for its adaptability, flourishing in USDA zones 3 to 9. This hydrangea is a fantastic solution for gardeners looking to add long-lasting blooms to their landscapes, as it flowers profusely from early summer through fall. Its ability to thrive in various conditions makes it a versatile addition to any garden, while its showy blooms provide a stunning focal point that enhances curb appeal. Whether you're an experienced gardener or a newcomer, Annabelle's ease of care and striking appearance make it a rewarding choice for your outdoor space.

    FAQs

How do i know the size of the plant?

As is typical in Nursery and Garden Center sales, the plants are listed by the size of the container in which they are grown. While we are in the process of standardizing how our plants are listed here online, many of them still have the notations from the grower's availability list. Here are some common ones that you will see on our website:

    • 17cm = about 6.5" diameter = 1 gallon container
    • 19cm = about 7.5" diameter = 1 gallon container
    • G1 = 1 gallon container
    • G2 = 2 gallon container
    • G3 = 3 gallon container

The size of the actual plant will vary greatly based on the plant, season, and growing stage. In some cases we can provide some more details from the grower as requested.
