    Description

Liberty Apple trees let you grow your own tasty, crunchy apples. This great variety makes beautiful apples that are medium to large in size, have bright red skin, and a satisfying crunch. Liberty apples are great for eating fresh, making pies, applesauce, or adding to salads in the fall. They have a sweet-tart flavor that everyone in the family will love. What is it about Liberty that makes it special? It naturally fights off common apple diseases, which means you don't have to spray it as much and the fruit is healthier for your table. The semi-dwarf size (12 to 15 feet) is easy to handle and looks great in suburban and backyard gardens. Pick your apples in late September or early October, and enjoy them fresh all winter long. They keep well for months! Liberty is hardy and dependable in zones 4–7. It grows well with little care, making it a great choice for both experienced orchardists and people who are growing fruit for the first time. Plant now and you'll have apples from your own garden for years to come!

    FAQs

How do i know the size of the plant?

As is typical in Nursery and Garden Center sales, the plants are listed by the size of the container in which they are grown. While we are in the process of standardizing how our plants are listed here online, many of them still have the notations from the grower's availability list. Here are some common ones that you will see on our website:

    • 17cm = about 6.5" diameter = 1 gallon container
    • 19cm = about 7.5" diameter = 1 gallon container
    • G1 = 1 gallon container
    • G2 = 2 gallon container
    • G3 = 3 gallon container

The size of the actual plant will vary greatly based on the plant, season, and growing stage. In some cases we can provide some more details from the grower as requested.
